There’s finally some real action starting to happen in the garden! It’s been 2 weeks since the seeds went in the ground after some time, a lot of watering, picking weeds and maybe a little prayer here and there is finally some results starting to show.
I have to admit I was a little worried last week after not seeing anything pop up and was thinking I might have jumped the gun and planted everything a little too early. Right after I put the seeds in the ground it got unseasonably cold and there was a lot of rain. Thankfully after some warm weather and lots of sunshine things are starting to grow nicely. The pepper plants are hurting a little bit, but I’m hoping they’ll recover.
The beans are booming right now! Not Jack and the Beanstalk levels, but they’re showing good signs. I’ve gotta say I’m most excited about the watermelon seeds I decided to plant. 5 of the 8 are out of the ground and if I’m able to get a get even a few of those bad boys at the end of the season it’ll be a success. The simple fact that things are even growing gives me some hope for the months to come.
