There is no denying Metallica’s popularity and now there are stats to prove they are the biggest touring band in the world. Since 1982 Metallica have sold 22.1 milliom tickets earning $1.4 billion. Metallica are just behind U2 who have sold more tickets but they did get a head start as they formed in 1976.
