Seattle is the city of rock. Many huge artists have come from Seattle and the city now wants to acknowledge that. Former Alice in Chains frontman Layne Staley is one famous rocker who will now get his own day. August 22nd is now officially Layne Staley day. Staley would of been 52 on the 22nd but passed away from a drug overdose in 2002. -Brandi
