QUEEN CITY ROCKS is back for it’s 5th and biggest year yet!
Welcome to QCR! Regina’s Rock Station 104.9 The Wolf, The Exchange, and Long and McQuade Musical Instruments present Queen City Rocks 2017! We’re back with version 5.0! First things first, we’ve changed the run-off nights from Thursdays to Fridays, so you can stay and party all night and not have to get up for work the next day!
Get ready to turn it to 11.
Here are the list of bands in the competition.
All listed alphabetically…not in order of performance
LUNAR LANDER DANCE COMMANDER
THE RECKLESS FAMOUS
BEAUTY KILLED THE BEAST
TOO SOON MONSOON
BONES TO DUST
JOHNNY 2 FINGERS & THE DEFORMITIES
THE DEAF IDOLS
DERWOOD & THE RENEGADES
Unlike a great many ‘battle of the band’ competitions you may run across, Queen City Rocks approaches things a little differently. And we’re not just talking about the ‘no entry fee’ part. We’re genuinely interested in opening up this avenue for exposure and helping to bring the Regina “scene” together, fostering communication and collaboration between acts and strengthen the community as a whole. (A rising tide floats all boats). To put it bluntly, check your inner Diva at the door. Professionalism in all facets of this competition is what we’re aiming for, and expect from all involved. There will ultimately be a ‘winner’, but that’s not the primary focus of this project.Oh yeah, there’s no entry fee. In fact, you have the opportunity to EARN cash with your participation.
We’ve put our feelers out…and thanks to some fantastic partners who believe in supporting emerging music as much as we do, have pulled together a fantastic prize bundle.
