Who do Rider fans want Santa to bring?
Who do you want to be the Riders next head coach…It seems to be a 4 horse race between Scott Milanovich, Doug Berry, Richie Hall and Greg Marshall….
In Milanovich you get a guy who has run the Alouettes Grey Cup winning offence the past 2 seasons….(That’s my 1st choice)
In Berry you get a guy who has head coaching experience and also has the support of his the quarterback Darian Durant…I’m not sure why people are so against Berry…He did lead the Bombers to the Grey Cup and he was pretty good in Montreal with Calvillo..Not to mention he lead our offence to some pretty good numbers…
In Hall you get a guy who is loved in this province and knows what its like to live here in the fish-bowl that is Regina..I also think he’s a good coach who got dealt a bad hand in Edmonton..”Pint” is also a great person which is important for a community owned team…Richie would be my 2nd choice..
and in Marshall you get a great defensive mind who is chomping at the bit to be hired as a head coach after being passed up numerous times…And to be honest that last fact kind of makes me leary about him becoming the next H-C.. Why has he been passed over? Like Richie, Greg is a great guy that knows what its like to coach in this province and deal with the pressure that comes with it.. All worthy candidates….and whoever is hired has big shoes to fill….Who will Santa leave under the tree?
