Jake the sexy pilot made a decision tonight … who will his heart go? Tenley the dancer or Vienna the Paris Hilton of the swamp …

If you guessed Vienna, the Paris Hilton of the swamp you are absolutely right!
I watched it tonight with one of my girls Steph & we were giggling through the whole thing. I think the best quote was when Vienna said “I didn’t know who I was until I met Jake” LOL. Really?! I mean – REALLY?
From a guys perspective, my friend Robert summed it up well by texting me “I come upstairs and he married a girl that looks like a horse?” Do you think she’s pretty? She does have a smokin’ bod, I’ll give her that much. A bit of a butter face though.
I guess the ultimate highlight was during the “after show” when the guy who sings the theme song to this years Bachelor came on the show & sang “On the Wings of Love” which sounds like a uber cheesy song from the 1980s haha. This is how it was documented at my place…

Cheers to divorce court!

14 medals. Canadian pride. I may have gotten a bit choked up on the air yesterday. I’m so proud to be Canadian! Congratulations goes out to all our Olympic athletes. You are amazing!
…. especially Sidney …

Sidney … CALL ME. xoxoxoxoxoxo.
Cheers, Amanda
In honor of Team Canada stepping it up last night & going to the finals in hockey for the winter games, I thought I’d post this video that I came across. It’s absolutely hilarious & I hope it made you smile as much as it made me (and Sid)
PS: Sidney – call me!
Tonight I played a clip from what The Metal Den says is the earliest Metallica demo. It’s a rough version of “Hit the Lights” which was off of their ‘83 album Kill ‘Em All. The song features Dave Mustaine on guitar, Ron McGovney on bass, Lars Ulrich on drums & James Getfield on vox. Apparently Hetfield still had not fully learned how to play guitar yet & was only handling singing chords. Here’s the full song.
My good friend Daryl recently moved to British Columbia is in love with it (BC is beautiful!) so he enjoys rubbing it in my face whenever he can … weather, outdoor activities, Olympics (can I write Olympics?)
Anyway, he sent me this picture last night of the Saskatchewan Pavillion & I thought I’d share it with ya!
Cheers,
Amanda

The music video for Billy Talent’s latest single scares the living **** out of me!
So, apparently on Facebook it’s Doppelganger week and you’re supposed to post someone who looks like you. I’ve always gotten this and I don’t see it. People say I look like Avril Lavigne. What do you think?

Who do you look like?
Cheers, Amanda
I have always loved beginning of months. Fresh month, fresh start, adventures to be had. I am quite optimistic about beginning of months, although they haven’t been agreeing with me. I remember when I first moved here with this attitude and stuff started to mess up, my friend Tom said “Amanda just stop. Beginning of months don’t agree with you” and I think I’m finally coming to accept that.
Believe it or not, yesterday my fridge died for the 2nd time in 1 year. I’ve probably experienced fridge appliance failure within the past year more than anyone has in their lifetime! I called my landlord last night to tell her the news, and she said that I’d be getting a new fridge today (since mine is old anyway) and then I receive a phone call this morning saying that someone is going to call me and set up a time to come over (because I don’t have anything else to do then to wait around by the phone, right? lol) to fix it. In the meantime, my frozen contents of my fridge (including a turkey) are hanging out on my front porch. Good times.
Then on top of that, add in a hair dryer dying on me, a migraine when I woke up today, the fact that I haven’t been to the gym yet this week, guy problems, car troubles from the past week and I am set. I really must’ve pissed off the karma gods or something!
Do you have the same attitude at beginning of months? Does it all fall to peices too?
On a more positive note, back to work tonight & it’s Wednesday which means hump day tip of the week.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Cheers, Amanda xo.
